RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

IMPORTANT: limitations of use

  •  Do not use filtering devices, neither atmospheres rich in oxygen, nor when the concentration of oxygen is < 19, 5 %.
  • Do not use filtering devices in confined spaces such as tanks, stills, pits, sewers, trenches or other poorly ventilated spaces where high concentrations of contaminant can be present or built rapidly.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Quality system guarantee of production agreed by the Notified Body 0099 (AENOR). The quality control tests are carried out in every production according to Art.11B of 89/686 directive.

STANDARD

  • CE-EN Standard.

STANDARD-DESCRIPTION

  • EN 140 Half masks and quarter masks.
  • EN 149 Filtering half masks to protect against particles (dust masks).
  • EN 143 Particle Filters.
  • EN 14387 Gas Filters and combined filters.

DISPOSABLE MASKS

Common characteristics

  • Suitable for the protection against particles and solid or liquid aerosols (watery or oleic base).
  • “D”: Mask resistant to clogging in time (test by Dolomite dust) improving comfort of use.
  • Folding, easy to wear and store.
  • Complete range for different applications.
  • Colour coded.
  • High effectiveness and retention power according to the EN Standard.
  • Perfect fit that improves the security and comfort for the user.
  • Harness in one piece that improves the adjustment and comfort.
  • Totally welded. Improves and increases mask’s life.
  • Anti-fluex, it doesn’t disjoin fibres, which makes it perfect for car industry and white line.

EN 172 SUNGLARE FILTERS FOR INDUSTRIAL USE

  • Protect human eye from extremely bright conditions.
  • Increase comfort and visual perception.

The right filter choice will depend on:

  • The level of environment lighting.
  • The self sensibility to the blinding.

Apart from some absorption of the brightness, the filters must ensure:

  • The eye protection in ultravio-let spectral areas.
  • The protection (depending on the situation) to the infrareds.

CHOICE OF THE EYE PROTECTOR

Selecting an appropriate eye protection fora given risk is vital. If not performed properly, the effectson the user’seye canrangefrom a nuisance to serious injury orlossof vision.
Be sure that the spectacles you handle have been tested and the meet with thepoint 7.1.2. Optical requirements on the Standard EN 166. Ifso, on the CE Type certificate, it will be shown the Optical Quality X, and that it is according to the EN 166, that means, to all the points of the Standard”.

Exposure limit values and actions
  Values Actions
Exposure limit values LEX, 8h = 87 dB (A) & Ppeak = 200 Pa (1) Exposure limit values must not be exceeded
Exposure upper values LEX, 8h = 85 dB (A) & Ppeak = 140 Pa (2) Ear protectors must be used. Compulsory
Exposure lower values LEX, 8h = 80 dB (A) & Ppeak 112 Pa (3) Manager could give worker ear protectors. Optional

CHOICE OF THE EAR PROTECTOR

According to the Directive 2003/10/EC ofthe 06/05/2003, published the 15/02/2003and applicable from 2006, the users willhave the appropriate ear protector up to the constant noise of 80 dB. Beyond this security limit could appear injuries.

Essential to know the Ear Protector:

  • Know the noise intensity.
  • Know the SNR of the Ear Protector.

Calculation to choose the most suitable Protector:

Noise: 100dB - SNR: 27 dB = 73 dB*
* (Suitable protection at less than 80 dB)

* IMPORTANT:
No go down from 65 dB Overprotection risk
