n 1982, Rochem designed a reverse-osmosis module which revolutionized the use of membranes for salt water desalination and the subsequent treatment of landfill leachate and other difficult waste waters. Rochem named this unique module Disc Tube Reverse Osmosis (DTRO). This technology has been extensively copied and is used all over the world.
However, it is difficult to duplicate Rochem’s unique upgrades, our extensive knowledge in applications and engineering, and our quality of service. Rochem has been located in Hamburg, Germany since 1973 and our production facilities and standards are certified by the very exacting German testing organization TÜV. Rochem stands for “Made in Germany”.
To complement our DT disc-tube modules, Rochem developed the TS spacer tube module series. These modules are designed to allow us to house more membrane material in the same volume as a DT module, for difficult water which contains less suspended solids. TS modules continue Rochem’s quest for proprietary module designs which heavily resist fouling.
